Having been attacked by over 100 armed BATF agents on a Sunday morning in late February 1993, the Branch Davidians, a small band of fundamentalist Christians living at a Church commune near Waco, Texas were surrounded. They had been surrounded for 51 days, subjected to psychological warfare techniques and surrounded by federal law enforcement agents who had lost all patience. What the BATF couldn't accomplish, the FBI was going finish. Despite the presence of innocent infants, children, adolescents and women the FBI ordered a military style attack on the buildings of the compound. The rest is history......

They were under orders to kill (murder) the entire cult, and indeed five had already been murdered by the helicopters before the land army ever arrived.
No warrant was ever brought or presented. The only warrant even sworn out, was against Koresh only, and claiming he was harboring illegal aliens who had overstayed their visa, or allowing such aliens to handle firearms. LOL. In WACO! For this, they shot the place to hell and killed them all.
You may claim to be a freeper but I don't think you watched the CSPAN congressional hearings or you wouldn't make such an ignorant statement. Two of the negotiators for the Feds testified that there was no reason to abandon a wait and see stategy and they also objected to the way that the people who did surrender were immediately traumatized by the Fed's and separated from their Children in full view of the Davidians...They were led to believe that their children would be taken from them for their religious faith...totally immunizing them from surrendering...
I am glad Timothy McVeigh is dead...He was no help to cleaning up the government...but I am ashamed of the horrible, unconstitutional abuses (that Government agents took an oath not to do) that were committed at Waco.
In the heat of our battle yesterday somehow I missed this one from you. Your words spoken true and obviously from the heart here are good enough for me. Glad to know you aren't an aetheist and I will rescind that charge to beg your pardon.
Now as to the remainder of our day long duo yesterday, I would like to make these final points. Even if you are correct (and I doubt it with all my heart),that the remaining Davidians killed themselves and their children in the end, have you asked yourself would this tragedy have occurred if the BATF had never served the warrant in the manner they did to begin with?
Then, when the BATF initiated their raid on the Davidian church/home, knowing full well that there were innocent men, women, infants, children, and the elderly inside that church/home, when one of their very first acts was to shoot and kill the family and children's dogs located in front of the church , meaning they had to fire toward the church where all those folks were inside, were their acts not reckless and negligent child endangerment from the very beginning? From the planning, to the staging, to the execution? Since when are not these negligent and reckless acts alone not chargeable offenses? Since when do we allow LEO's to act with such reckless and wanton abandonment?
Bottomline, set aside for now who was responsible for the tragic results some 51 days later and in the end. Noone responsible has ever been charged for those initial crimes committed when they should have been. Had justice been served, and the criminally negligent agents responsible for this reckless child endangerment in the first place been properly charged at the very beginning... say from day two of the siege...then Davidians seeing this would have known our system to be just and fair.
But no. What we saw was stonewalling and arrogance on the part of our fed.gov. Their attitude being: we were righteous and they were wrong. They fired first and we had no choice but to shoot up the church and everything inside and out...til we ran out of ammo and forced to retreat. We did no wrong. We did not endanger those children.

Your posts to this thread have earned you a free set of horse blinders, a free tour of the BATF and FBI headquarters and your very own government issue SWAT team hood, jumpsuit, boots, monogoggles, kevlar vest and helmet, Glock Model 22 semi-auto pistol and H&K MP5 full auto machine gun and a one year supply of ammo.

As I have stated many times in this thread...I ignore about 99.5% of these posts. Simply because I believe these people have a right to spew this crap. Especially on a message board named "Free Republic" where I am nothing more than a guest.
I honestly consider these conspiracy kooks the EXACT same kind of person as the ones who believe Cynthia McKinney and Oliver Stone...They just vote differently...
