Been done: Woody Allen's Manhattan. In the underlying theme of the movie, Allen's character is surrounded by flakey, manipulative, shallow adult women. He is having an affair with Mariel Hemingway, who is still in high school. She is the only rational person in the movie. Although the ending isn't what you depicted, the overall theme of the movie was that Allen should dump the flakey adult women and get together with Ms. Hemingway. These movies have been flying in under the radar for quite a while. The Professional (Natalie Portman), The Babysitter (Alicia Silverstone), and of course, Pretty Baby (Brooke Shields).

True. And don't forget Lolita (which is a very disturbing book).

But those are one-shot deals which tend not to work themselves into the fabric of the culture, because they're not followed-up by anything.

For it to be part of the culture, it has to show up always and everywhere -- for example, on TV and in the media hype cycle. These days, that generally happens only for TV shows.
