I don't think so. BTW, cooking it "well done" does not help. As I understand it, it's 'prions' that get you. (A protein)

Actually, they're really not sure... The actually cause of BSE is unknown, but the hypothesis is that prions may be the cause, and they can be transmitted in other tissues as well as just the brain tissue.
