A well-known local pilot radioed for help before slamming his plane into a Milan, Italy skyscraper today, in an apparent accident that at first seemed like a chilling rerun of 9/11.
"Witnesses saw a streak of fire before the single-engine Piper hit the 30-story building in Milan," reports CBS News.
"Police say the pilot, who was well-known in local aviation circles, reported having technical problems before the crash."
The Milan building, which houses both government and commercial offices, is being searched for possible victims, with two bodies recovered by early afternoon. Several floors have reportedly been damaged.

This tower sticks up by itself, with nothing around. The weather was clear and sunny. There are nearby parks where the pilot could have tried to land. From where the impact was, the pilot might almost have glided to nearby Linate Airport, and used a runway. It is very close. A pilot with engine trouble would never steer into a building, but at least try to land in a safe place. Fortunately, there is an American eyewitness now on Fox news giving a very similar story.

CNN will probably report that he deliberately flew the crippled plane into the building to avoid hitting innocent pedestrians on the street below. After all, there MIGHT have been a Palestinian walking along there...

in an apparent accident News reporters have no logical thinking skills. This is an apparent suicide made to look like an accident.

A pilot with engine trouble would never steer into a building, but at least try to land in a safe place. Even jetliners have flown into the ground and hills because the pilots heads "were in the cockpit."
If you think you are at "safe altitude" and you are putzing with controls on the dashboard you can fly into just about anything. It's not like steering a car where no one lets their eyes off the road for more than a second or two.

Maybe terrorists hijacked the plane by remote control.

An attempt to calm the jittery markets.

Since terrorists have been excluded the only logical explanation is a suicide, as you said. Sure enough, the media is belatedly picking up on the obvious.
