I agree that
something had to be done. It's always debatable whether the manager is at fault, but it's almost always the manager who takes the fall.
I still think that there's a whole lot they're not telling us about how badly the roof is broken, and this is a MUCH bigger story.

Doesn't the timing of this seem awfully coincidental? Even though a change was probably needed, could be they've fired Lopes at this particular time to draw attention AWAY from the roof...buy some time to either rectify the problem, or formulate a "spin" campaign...while the media concentrates on a Lopes replacement. Just a conspiracy theory :^)
