Author Weiss: Turmoil Threatens Oil Supply

"The popular uprisings in Venezuela demonstrate the extreme vulnerability of today’s world oil markets to political turmoil," says Dr. Martin Weiss, author of "The Ultimate Safe Money Guide." "Unfortunately, however, U.S. policymakers underestimate the anti-American sentiment in Latin America."

Worse, in the Mideast, American officials grossly overestimate the stability of the Saudi Arabian monarchy and the effect of the Palestinian conflict on mass movements throughout Arab countries, "the same mistake we made a quarter century ago with the Shah of Iran," Weiss says.

He foresees "deep and long-lasting" consequences for gasoline prices, the economy and American investors.

I just got done reading some of his "Sleepwalking towards bankruptcy"

Very interesting...If only half of what he says is true regarding the large corporations and their verge of being bankrupt - we have some real problems.

Glad to hear you found a copy. Did you find it on his Web site?

Concerning the possible bankruptcies, I would guess that the inflating of the monetary base will help many of those firms service their debt.
