Unfortunately true.
For all the media and political hype surrounding the "flat tax", it is amazingly lacking in substantive benefit for people of the nation.
Makes for great political campaign rhetoric though, and perpetuation of the great tax shell game.
The flat tax would work if they would just leave it at that, a "
flat tax". Everyone pays 10% regardless of income, investments, ect. No loopholes no deductions period. Enfortunately, that's not the way they are presenting it.
