problem is that a few of the priest are molesting boys Yes, but this has been known far longer than I have live on this earth, and I'm an old man. So, why is this being brought to a fever pitch at this time? I'm not defending the actions of a few evil priest who molest young boys, they are no better than Cops who rob or kill people they are supposed to protect. Again, why now? There is a saying: "TIMING IS EVERYTHING". So who gains most from this issue if pushed hard now?

You are right,timing is of the essence. I read the e-mails between sister Judy,Cardinal mahoney's lawyer in matters of abuse and the cardianl. In skimming,a sentence stating "if we can just hold it together until July 1" caught my attention and I wondered. Some friends said not to worry that was vacation time and they thought they could get away for a month or two and everything would blow over. I still think something was/is supposed to tke place before July 1,but what?

A simpler explanation, rather than harking to some sort of conspiracy, is that victims are no longer willing to be silenced.
