Lassiter, who was flying to a University of Georgia football game, was sentenced to five weekends in jail and 500 hours of community service. He also was barred from attending University of Georgia football games this fall.
"I made a mistake, and my family and I have suffered greatly for it," Lasseter said in court. "I'm here today to accept responsibility for my actions and the response from the court."
Judging by this part of the article, Atlanta is willing to shut down its airport for major security incidents such as running down an up escalator! In fact the "culprit" was jailed for 5 weekends, got 500 hours "community service" (3 months full time work) and was forbidden from attending college football for one season.
Given the INSANE treatment of the escalator man, I have little doubt that the "unknown substance released" was a strong FART; and that the culprit will be tried (utilizing secret evidence from a secret tribunal) and executed for attempted terrorism.
If you think that was insane wait till the civil suits get flying. Airlines lost millions due to that bozo and the reaction of security. Security was doing it's job, he is going to have a large negative net worth.
