To his mind (and the minds of many on these threads) those ideals belong only to white folks and the rest of the world is comprised of grasping dirty little brown people whose very existence taints the ideals whites hold sacred. So which country, comprised of those "grasping dirty little brown people," espouses ideals that you think would be a good fit for America? Mexico? Venezuela? Maybe Argentina? Can you show for me a shining example of a fantastic non-white society that is thriving and owes its robustness to its own people?
Is there a non-white society whose masses are not desiring to relocate to America? If they were accomodated -- say we let every single one of them come over here immediately, starting tomorrow -- do you think there might be a danger of our country being swayed to the types of society from which they came? In other words, would Chavez as our communist leader work wonders in the U.S.?
And, just food for thought, what do you think of the idea of a more limited form of immigration policy, whereby we control the influx of immigrants, giving them time to assimilate into our culture, rather than throwing open the floodgates and just letting whomever decides to live here move here?
Argentina is actually about 90% white (non-mestizo).
Whenever these questions come up, I think about the fact that whites account for roughly a 10% minority of the world population and shrinking. And maybe I am aggrandizing things somewhat, but those white cultures are largely responsible for most of the things that make the modern world shine as a beacon to the rest of the world, else the world wouldn't want to come here, or be so influenced by what is here. Heathcare, education, agriculture, communications, technology, a culture of hard work and acheivement, have found new levels in this culture.
We are all only human, and regardless of our skin color, we can all look around this world and easily see profound trouble just about everywhere, in every race, color, and religion. Still when whites are gone, or pushed into the minority in every country, will the world really be better? Of course, I have the perspective of a white guy, so I just can't believe that it will be.
