JERUSALEM: Israel on Saturday rejected Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's denunciation of terrorism, accusing him of being two-faced by saying one thing and doing another.
"Such a condemnation is not worth anything coming from a man who is the top terrorist official," said Danny Ayalon, an aide to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
"Arafat is being two-faced: on one hand he has statements published condemning terrorism, on the other he incites violence and supports terrorism," Ayalon said.
"We are expecting acts and not words," Ayalon said, recalling that it was a group linked to Arafat's Fatah movement that claimed Friday's suicide bombing in Jerusalem that left seven people dead and scores wounded.
Arafat and the Palestinian leadership earlier released a statement condemning all forms of terrorism directed against civilians, Israeli or Palestinian.

Arafat is a two-faced liar alert!
If people want on or off this list, please let me know.

The Israeli's know that unless Arafat gets on the TV camaras and personaly says in Arabic "stop the suicide bombing" all the statements in english and printed crap in arabic means nothing. Arafat has already been busted saying "do not listen to anything I say in english".

"Such a condemnation is not worth anything coming from a man who is the top terrorist official,"Amen to that.

To paraphrase a remark from my West Texas school days: Action talks, bullsh..well, anything else, walks. So long as his mass-murderers continue pulling triggers and detonating themselves, what this irrelevant terrorist says--or more accurately, has a minion say-- is of no consequence.

"Arafat is being two-faced: on one hand he has statements published condemning terrorism, on the other he incites violence and supports terrorism," Ayalon said. No one knows this better than the Israeli people. Funny how the media reports that more than 90% of ARABS living in Jerusalem support - SHARON!!
But onto the thrust of my point here.
After September 11th, our President got on TV world-wide and said: You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists.
It's clear who's side Israel is on - OURS. They're cleaning up after a rats next of terrorists.
It's also clear who's side much of the ARAB world is on - the TERRORISTS. Let's examine a few facts:
- There have been more than 100 bombings in Jerusalem and Israel since 1996.
- Iraq and Saudi Arabia (allegedly our own ally!) have been paying huge sums of money to the families of Homicide Bombers for carrying out their despicable acts.
- 53 tons of weapons intended for Arafat and his Terrorist Organizations were intercepted by the IDF while on their way from IRAN (a US enemy.)
And the list goes on, and on, and on. What is the distinction between Yasser Arafat and any other two-bit terrorist around the world? NOTHING. Yet, our own government and that IDIOT Super-Colon-Blow Powell insist on treating Arafat like a foreign diplomat, when he's really no better than any terrorist thug anywhere else in the world!
STOP THE DUPLICITY!!! Israel is on OUR side. Arafat and much of the ARAB world IS NOT!
I once again call upon the President of the United States and the administration to label Yasser Arafat exactly what he is: a two-bit Terrorist THUG. NO NEGOTIATIONS. NO TALKS. TAKE HIS SORRY TERRORIST, MURDERING ASS OUT, PERIOD!
Go Israel! Go Ariel Sharon!

Correction to my post:
Funny how the media fails to report that more than 90% of ARABS living in Jerusalem support - SHARON!!
I get so angry when I reply and correct the record, that I skip words. My anger is just so high today!

I am so glad the US still support Israel (and some people in the rest of the world too). If it wasn't for them, Israel would have been destroyed and the UN/EU would have said nothing or done anything.
SO I can understand your anger. I got that too.
To: luvzhottea
Our President has never endorsed the details in the Saudi "peace" plan. Only the idea that Saudis and other Arabs would try and make peace with Israel, which Bush insists upon. I doubt the Arabs will do it though. They are too hatefilled. And of course Arafat is a pathological liar.

Dear ND Actually, the phrase is Money talks B#**sh?t walks Close enough though!!

Israel also immediately rejected the Bush-backed Saudi peace plan. Apparently they have never wanted to negotiate honestly:Your rhetoric, like that of the EU, conveniently ignores the need of Israel for secure borders. Any peace "settlement" proposal that places Israel at further risk is not genuine, but merely another step from Israel's enemies toward ultimate destruction of Israel. The destruction of Israel is not on the table.
You are arguing for Israel's destruction, just like the Arabs do.

It's too late to salvage Arafat, no matter what he says. This is a positive development, but unless it's repeated over and over along with concrete action to prevent those who might wish to continue attacks anyway, it's just a meaningless concession to get a visit with Colin Powell.
I think we're watching the endgame for Arafat right now.

unless Arafat gets on the TV camaras and personaly says in Arabic "stop the suicide bombing" Arafat's talking face wasn't on TV, of course, but he did say this in Arabic this time for the first time, and Powell is granting the audience as a result.
To: knighthawk
Arafat AND Bush are two-faced liars. Tomorrow, just watch. We will drop all our demands on Arafat and come out saying that Israel must withdraw and nothing else. Bush blinks and backs the US and Israel into a corner. In other words, would Gore have done any worse?

Mr. Arafat is the father of terrorism and bush, jr., is the son of bush, jr. (the man who let saddam walk) both Mr. Arafat and bush jr are simply playing true to form.

I like your optimism but I don't think that will happen. Now that Arafat has publicly denounced terrorism in a way that makes him the hero to the EU and the UN, the US will get scared and back off. We seem to take on the EU/UN at times but we scared to death of them in this crisis. What Israel needs to do now is strike Syria and Lebanon. I mean TODAY before Mr. Appeasement has his grand tour of stinky Ramallah.
