I have been in the trusted "care" of MARINES many times in my long tenure... and there are NONE BETTER ! In Korea, the only thing tougher than a MARINE was a TURK.... with the difference being that you could "trust" a MARINE and you never took your eyes off a TURK.

I wasn't there, but my D.I.'s in boot were!
They said that the knives the Turks carried looked like they were made to cut off heads!

Invictus, I remember well the reputation of the Turks who fought in Korea.
I understand they thought it imperative that if their sword were drawn, they were obligated to dispatch an enemy with it - and always DID.

I am delighted you have been with us on this happy occasion, and hope you will return often.
