Now, that's an angel figure there!!...(sigh)...

My Gosh, Aqua, that brings back memories!
That was my favorite jitterbug song!
I wonder if I can still do that?
Let's go! Would someone please be so kind as to find out if there's a doctor in the house?

I have been in the trusted "care" of MARINES many times in my long tenure... and there are NONE BETTER ! In Korea, the only thing tougher than a MARINE was a TURK.... with the difference being that you could "trust" a MARINE and you never took your eyes off a TURK.
To: COB1
LOL! I just knew you could jitterbug. I'll bet you can Boogie Woogie too!
To: Invictus
I wasn't there, but my D.I.'s in boot were!
They said that the knives the Turks carried looked like they were made to cut off heads!

HA! You can't see my combat boots! These days, I'm having a little trouble seeing my own shoes when I look down. *Someone suggested that it's probably time for me to start wearing bell-bottomed shirts.
(*LadyX can be absolutely brutal at times).
To: SAMWolf
Wayward Wind, if I remember right was a Gogi Grant hit... and if memory serves, Patti Page had the biggie with "Ivory Tower".... they sure don't write tunes like they used to... sure glad I don't have to listen to to the stuff they call music nowadays.
To: Aquamarine
Yep, I can Boogie!
That's the sure sign of a misspent youth!
LOL!

"Would someone please be so kind as to find out if there's a doctor in the house?" I have a special connection with MedProf if you need medical care after this night!
Shall I have him Stand By?
As the only Marine here with whom you can dance(..:)), save the last dance for me?
(I promise not to request one of my cadence calling tapes be played!)

"they sure don't write tunes like they used to... sure glad I don't have to listen to to the stuff they call music nowadays." Ain't it the truth!
I heard "Wayward Wind" a short time ago on an oldie's station, but I haven't heard "Ivory Tower" in a long time.
Both are beautiful!
Hey, Lady Marine!
Front and center!
You owe me a dance!

Invictus, I remember well the reputation of the Turks who fought in Korea.
I understand they thought it imperative that if their sword were drawn, they were obligated to dispatch an enemy with it - and always DID.
I am delighted you have been with us on this happy occasion, and hope you will return often.
Snow Bunny and Billie have a new thread every day, with a new theme to honor our military.
Thank you so much for coming!
(I nag pretty effectively, don't I?!)

Would you please ask MedProf to bring a stretcher?
I don't need it now, but I'm going to!

Hahaha, dear Scuttlebutt...the bell-bottomed shirt to go with the bell-bottomed pants?
When you were in, did you still have those that buttoned with 13 buttons?!!
Those HAD to be a hindrance..:)))
Don't forget our dances tonight...I'm looking forward to them!
(I hafta do it, Cobby - we are [the best] part of the Navy and they wrote our checks!)
