Someone (Good God, tell me it's not you) actually devoted an entire site to this?

Starting a web site to counter Rivero is paying him too much of a compliment.
Like trashy magazines and TV programs, he needs to be ignored and avoided.

I can't say that I see conspiracies in most of the places that Mike Rivero sees them, but I knew him back in the days before Free Republic was even a dream and think that he's an extremely bright and talented man. Much of the research done on the Clinton Administration scandals by people we know and respect, like the late Ed Zehr, was honed and developed through months of dialogue with Mike. He's not a person that I would dismiss lightly.

I didn't realize Ostrich was a strategy.

Where is that nut Michael Rivero? I know he got kicked off...I guess he didn't sign up again?
To: Republican_Strategist
There is an argument about conspiracy nutcakes? Sheesh! I'm not sure they're worth much attention, much less a website to inadvertently promote them, but you might want to refer those who challenge you to a Google search on "Stephen King John Lennon murder" where they'll find another extremely bright and talented man who's committed the past 20 years of his life to promoting the idea that the writer and Richard Nixon and the CIA conspired to murder John Lennon (I prefer not to advertise the guy's name here.) Then they can come back and tell you of the differences if any between this unfortunate, disturbed fellow and the extremely bright and talented man being discussed here. Michael would be advised to do that as well (I once suggested this much to him) and see himself in a funhouse mirror.

MR is a conman, a charlatan, huckster and a fraud.

Boy, you should see your shrink for this Michael Rivero obsession you have.
I guess congratulations are in order for Michael. You know you've arrived when you have an anti-web site.

His supporters would also do well checking the web for a comprehensive list of logical fallacies. The theories, if you can even call those diatribes that, are full of them. One additional thing you'll notice is that there is never one shred of hard evidence of those alleged conspiracies, only mountains of facts, supposedly unanswered questions, "witness reports" and tons of various trivia, but never ever evidence of conspiracy which is what these "theories" seek to prove. Evidently, the conspiracy of uncounted, invisible evil men is so fiendishly clever that it is able to hide all the evidence of its existence. Like wow!
To: Republican_Strategist
There are no such things as conspiracies. There is just one giant, unknown group of rich, powerful people who meet every year to make us think there are conspiracies so they can plan on how to take over the worlds air and water supplies and sell them back to us and get even richer and more powerful. And that's the truth.

Somebody has too much of an obsession with attacing Rivero...lol.
His OKC docs have been verified. As for some of his other theories.....put them in the loony bin.

If you're gonna take on Rivero, you could atleast learn to spell Palestinian :)

Yep. Gone are the keen intellectual questions demanding straight answers to a lot of riddles. Mike got canned because of Republican gestapos like yourself turning FR into a police-state.
I didn't agree with Mike on a lot of views. But I enjoyed his perspective. He is sadly missed upon FR.

It has been fun reading the various comments. It follows the general trend of who's who among Freepers (myself included) on who's side the posters agree with. As one person mentioned Michael Rivero went out of his way to post any anti-American junk he could dig up. Even if he was on to something every once and a while, his own style prevented any believablity on the majority of readers. He was just too wacky to follow on any given day.

The problem with MR is the problem I have with G.G. Liddy - the good is so good, you wish there was a way to remove the bad. Dangerously flawed - and you don't know when/if he's "sportin' with ya."

I hope I don't get in trouble for writing this, but I truely miss Mike's postings. Some stuff seemed way out there, but other theories appeared logical. FR definately lacks a lot of the personality it had prior to 911.
