I tried going on one of those RAH!RAH!_REPUBLICAN_THREADS. I was knocked off by Jim.

He is an amazing guy. And that is why Mike got the booty, too. Soon, only Jim will have his own computer to stroke ... cause he is losing me and anyone that wants to speak of freedom and original thought.

Just stating that he did his homework.

Whay homework? Much of this conspiracy nonsense is based on sources that CONVENIENTLY can't be found (dead people, anonymous sources). It's the old "The lack of evidence is proof of the conspiracy".

C'mon, you have to know that GHWB (#41) talked about the New World Order in a major speech.

So what? It didn't mean what the wackos think it means, and never has.

Bush was talking about the end of the Cold War and the way that the world opposed Iraq, including countries like Russia that would never have done so before the Cold War ended. That's it.

I'm not making judgments about Michaels research. Just stating that he did his homework.

Saying he did his homework IS a judgement.

He did do his homework, but not the way you mean. He worked to come up with every peice of anti-American propaganda he could fit in. The other poster was right, he didn't care if it was true or not, he only cared if he could use it to defame America.

I know this for a fact. I've personally caught him knowingly telling lies, and he always refused to correct anything on his site even when it was known to be wrong. Rivero was not interested in the truth, make no mistake about that.

You & fred25 only 'proved', - on the JFK threads, - that your blind faith in Warren Commission conclusions is every bit as kooky as some of the wilder conspiracy theorists.

Newsflash! People who think Oswald acted alone don't have to have "faith" in the WC. It is perfectly possible to reach that conclusion based on the evidence.

Their characteristics are well known, and Oswalds, in particular, was a piece of junk incapable of performing as the Warren Report claimed. - That is an established fact, which you blindly deny in your loony way.

No, it's a myth. The established fact is just the opposite. The myths are much more known than the facts and that's why most people think there was a conspiracy.

Sorry for the intrusion on these rifles but I saw a pic recently showing Oswald amongst others at street level in the doorway of the book depository building as Kennedy was being shot. The pic while having to be blown up as it was shot front a distance during the shooting matched the features of Oswalds face, build, and the shirt and jacket he was wearing when arrested. Best I could tell it was credible. And to the best of my recollection I saw it on an A&E or PBS program. Perhaps someone here will have seen this too?

Appropriately for this thread, this was one of the few items Rivero posted on his website about the JFK case. And it is a good example of what some of us have been saying about his tactics.

The claim that Oswald was in the doorway is a very old claim which has been thoroughly checked out. The man is Bill Lovelady. Although he looks similar, there are differences, and if you look at pictures of him and pictures of Oswald beside the picture of the guy in the doorway it is clear. In addition, Lovelady said he was there, his co-workers said it was him, and Oswald was seen elsewhere.

Rivero, if he was as smart as people claim, and "did his homework" like some say, KNEW he was telling a lie with this, but he kept it because it was a good visual piece of propaganda.

Just how were they partners?

Although not stated explicitly in the Journal report, it is implied that the Carlyle Group was among the banks whose records were subpoenaed as a part of the investigation of the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York. Through a spokesperson, former president Bush said that he recalled only one meeting with the bin Laden family, which took place in 1998. She admitted that there were at least two meetings after being confronted with a thank-you note from a meeting in 2000. Mr. Carlucci is the former chairman of Nortel Networks, which has conducted joint telecommunications ventures with Binladin Group. Mr. Baker reportedly met with the bin Laden family in 1998 and 1999. Caspar Weinberger, Secretary of Defense during the Reagan administration, and now chairman of Forbes, Inc., met with the bin Laden family twice in recent years, according to the Journal.

President George W. Bush has been linked indirectly to the bin Laden family, as well. During the time that W. was a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard, his friend and fellow guardsman, James W. Bath, was the business representative in Texas for Salem bin Laden, Osama's older brother. Bath continued to act in that capacity until 1988, when Salem died in a plane crash. The Houston Gulf Airport, in League City, TX, was among the properties Mr. bin Laden invested in on Mr. Bath's recommendation. Hopes that the airfield would find increased use over time, handling overflow from Houston airport, never materialized. The estate has been trying to sell the property since Mr. bin Laden's death. Mr. Bath reportedly received a 5% commission as his fee in transactions in which he represented Mr. bin Laden. Bath also invested $50,000 in two funds controlled by George W. Bush during this time, but maintains that the dealings were unrelated.

In 1984, however, George W. Bush's oil exploration company, Bush Exploration (previously Arbusto Energy) was suffering financially as sources of investment disappeared in the face of uncertainty regarding oil prices. After one attempted bailout by an oil company called Spectrum 7 faltered, Harken Energy bought Spectrum 7 for $2 million. George W. Bush received stock worth approximately $500,000 and a consulting fee of $120,000. Harken Energy was run by Alan Quasha, a New York lawyer who was also a Republican Party fundraiser. Sheikh Abdullah Bahksh of Saudi Arabia, a 16% shareholder in Harken Energy at the time, was represented by a Palestinian-born Chicago investor named Talat Othman, who served with George W. Bush on the board of Harken Energy. Othman made at least three separate visits to the White House to discuss Middle East affairs with then President George Bush. At about the same time, and just prior to the Gulf War, Harken Energy, with no previous international or offshore drilling experience, was awarded a 35-year petroleum exploration contract with the emirate of Bahrain.

Sheikh Bahksh emerged as a co-investor in the Bank of Commerce and Credit International (BCCI), a criminal enterprise since dissolved, that existed primarily as a mechanism for obtaining political influence using Middle Eastern oil money. Bahrain's prime minister, Sheik Khalifah bin-Sulman al-Khalifah, was a major investor in BCCI's parent company, BCCI Holdings, of Luxembourg. Through its commodities affiliate, Capcom, BCCI was used as a money laundering service by drug traffickers, arms dealers, etc. BCCI's front man in the U.S., and the person chiefly responsible for its takeover of First American Bank in the U.S., was Kamal Adham. Adham is referred to in the Kerry Committee report on BCCI as having been "the CIA's principal liaison for the entire Middle East from the mid-1960's through 1979." He was also the head of intelligence for Saudi Arabia during the time George Bush Sr. was Director of the CIA.

In August 1991, Ed Rogers, political director in the administration of George Bush Sr., left his White House position to start a "consulting firm." Rogers partner in the venture was Haley Barbour, political director during the Reagan administration, and later chairman of the Republican National Committee. Within a few weeks Rogers and Barbour received a $600,000 contract with Kamal Adham. When interviewed by the Kerry Committee investigating the BCCI affair, Rogers indicated he had consulted two people concerning Adham's background and the advisability of representing him. One was a Palestinian-American businessman with connections in the Republican party and the Saudi royal family. The other was a National Security Council staffer named Linda Charles, who, at about the same time Rogers left the White House, left the NSC to join a the International Planing and Analysis Center, a "consulting group" headed by Frank Carlucci. Former Deputy Director of the CIA and Secretary of Defense. Carlucci is now, as noted above, chairman of the Carlyle Group.

Rogers subsequently registered with the Justice Department as a foreign agent, and had three meetings with Adham's financial and legal team. Two meetings occurred after Rogers had received notice from Adham's defense attorney, Plato Cacheris, that Adham was under investigation for involvement in the BCCI scandal. The report of the Kerry committee suggests "With no background in business, in criminal law, or in any facet of the law for that matter, the 33 year old Rogers must have accompanied Cacheris for one reason only: his political skills and access."

The story of Rogers representing Adham was reported in the press on October 3, 1991. At a press conference later that month President Bush (Sr.) made an ambiguous statement that he "didn't know anything about the man." Rogers, of course, had been his political director, and Adham had been head of Saudi intelligence at the time Bush was Director of the CIA. Rogers reportedly resigned from the Adham account shortly thereafter, although he refused to discuss whether or not he returned his fee. Representative (now Senator) Charles Schumer called for an investigation by White House Counsel, C. Boyden Gray. Gray nominally mounted an investigation, but never met with Rogers himself. Instead, two assistants who were friendly with Rogers discussed the matter with him by phone. Gray wrote Schumer on November 1, 1991, that "Mr. Rogers was not responsible for and did not participate in any matters concerning to BCCI at the White House." This leaves open the question of whether Rogers may have negotiated his "consulting" contract with Adham while still at the White House. The Kerry committee report concludes its section on Rogers that while Rogers testimony was suspect" the greater failing and more worrisome aspect in the Rogers affair may be that of the White House inquiry. The columnist William Saffire predicted in November 1991 that Boyden Gray, charged by the President to investigate the Rogers affair, would 'pass along the denials and the White House whitewash will continue.' There is nothing in the record that suggests Mr. Saffire's assessment was inaccurate."

On October 3, 2001 the Senate confirmed Dallas attorney Robert Jordan as ambassador to Saudi Arabia. With no diplomatic experience, Jordan's qualifications include having defended Dubya in an SEC insider trading probe of the sale of his Harken Energy Corp. stock. Jordan is a member of the lawfirm Baker Botts. Former Secretary of State James A. Baker III is the Baker in Baker Botts, and The Carlyle Group is a client.

Former director of the F.B.I.'s New York counterterrorism office, John P. O'Neill, is quoted in a new book by French security expert Jean-Charles Brisard as saying, "All the answers, everything needed to dismantle Osama bin Laden's organization can be found in Saudi Arabia." As reported in the Times the book, "Ben Laden: La Vérité Interdite," suggests that "Saudi support for Mr. bin Laden has been extensive." O'Neill was apparently frustrated at "the inability of American officials to get anything at all from King Fahd," of Saudi Arabia, and although the Times does not provide details, O'Neill reportedly ascribed this failure to "oil." During his term with the F.B.I, O'Neill worked on the investigations of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the 1998 bombings of embassies in Africa, and was leading the investigation of the USS Cole in Yemen. O'Neill had complained to Brisard that the F.B.I. was hampered in its international investigations by State Department interference. O'Neill resigned from the F.B.I. in August of this year to become head of security at the World Trade Towers. He was killed in the the September 11 attack.

The pic while having to be blown up as it was shot front a distance during the shooting matched the features of Oswalds face, build, and the shirt and jacket he was wearing when arrested.

Note that the usual work attire for most folks in Texas or the south at that time was similar, nearly a uniform, and that there's nothing especially odd in similar jackets showing up in late November.

But if you would like to nose into some interesting details, check out the investigation into a second revolver, similar or identical to Oswald's, used to shoot a Postal Inspector on loan to the Secret Service that day, as well as injuries to one of the Secret Service personnel, who was initially reported as having been killed with the President.

Fred25 bought a Carcano and knows the handling characteristics of it. I would trust him to know more about Carcanos than MR or you any day.

Just *buying a Carcano* won't get it, even if Fred is aware of the *handling characteristics. It'd be particularly helpful if he'd had the exact type military Carcano supposedly used by Oswald, since that model has rifling characteristics entirely different from all the other many Carcano models, produced in two primary calibers- which is another interesting issue.

And of course, Fred's rifle should also have a six-groove barrel, as per the markings on one bullet supposedly recovered from a stretcher at Parkland Hospital.

It'd also be necessary for Fred to have used identical Winchester-Western ammunition identical to that commercially available in Dallas at the time, since no ammunition was shipped with the rifle that was sent to Dallas by Chicago firearms dealer Milt Klein. That'd offer some interesting questions about the source of thatr CIA-contract manufactured ammunition as well.

But somehow, I tend to take rate the opinion of former Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock, winner of the Wimbledon Cup for 1000-yard shooting at the National Matches at Camp Perry, than I do that of most shooters in the game then- or now.

JFK's Head Wound

As one of several hundred head-shot survivors during the Viet Nam war, I/we stand as living proof that FMJ bullets do not produce the kind of massive trauma that occured in the JFK case. I was hit by a 7.62x39mm bullet probably fired from a Chinese made SKS sniper rifle, by a VC sniper located in a tree-stand and shooting at approximately a 30 degree downward angle of trajectory. This would be very close to the alledged LHO scenerio.

The bullet impacted with sufficient force as to completely bowl me over in a Forward direction. So much for Jet-Effect and Neuro-Muscle spasms! JFK was killed by a bullet designed for maximum expansion/explosive properties, and which was fired from somewhere to his front.

In addition to all of this, I would like to add that I am now in possession of additional proof that the origional CE-399 was in fact, a 6-groove bullet that could never have been fired through any Carcano rifle, which I will present in the near future, so get ready for round two Mr. Keating.

Also, the two spent cartridges alledgedly discovered are in fact, 6.5x54mm Mannlicher Schoenauer cartridges which cannot be chambered in any Carcano rifle. This can be readily determined by simply measuring the shoulder angle of the two spent cartridges on any high resolution photo, using a precision protractor and comparing it to a Carcano cartridge. These two cartridges also possess counter-bored neck-steps which is a feature not found on Winchester/Western ammunition.

The unfired cartridge alledgedly recovered is a European made Carcano cartridge with a Cupra/Nickle jacketed bullet and a banded neck-crimp, features that are not found in Winchester/Western ammunition, or any other American made ammo for that matter. Also present is the odd sized Berdan primer, another feature not found on American made ammunition.

Neutron Activation Analysis of the alledged kill-shot bullet fragments proves that they are not by any stretch of the imagination, either connected to CE-399 or even made by Winchester/Western and any assertions that the results are inconclusive is pure bunk. The quantity and distribution ratio of antimony, silver, and copper is much too disparate to be part of the same batch and the silver content of CE-399 is far too high to be consistant with Winchester/Western ammunition due to the fact that the lead bearing ore from Colorado which is the major scource of bullet lead is some of the purest on Earth with virtually no detectable quantities of silver, arsenic, or other contaminates. [note:] My scource here on the bullet lead is Paul Dicamillo of Dicamillo Mining Co. of Leadville, Colorado.

The work done by jerrymac shows the presence of at least two different rifles designated CE-139/C2766 and that one of them is a very rare ceremonial rifle known as a Moschettieri del Duce Carcano which was possibly smuggled into the US after WWII by General Walker who commanded a special forces battalion in Italy and who was in a position to recieve the surrender of the Gardia del Duce or Mussolini's Guard along with their ceremonial rifles. Also Jack White has produced evidence of 3 different rifles, two of them with distinctly different front sight blades, one of which is of a shark-fin configuration, while the other has what Jack calls a derby-hat configuration.

Researcher Walt Cakebread as well as a number of other researchers discovered Carcano rifles, each alledged to be the assassination weapon, but which possess sling-swivels mounted in different positions. One bottom-mounted and the other Side-mounted.

Edgewood Arsenal reports indicate that the rifle presented to them for testing was entirely too defective to be safely fired until it had been reworked by a gunsmith. They specifically cited a rusted out action and a faulty firing-pin as well as a misaligned scope, yet the FBI's forensic laboratory reported the rifle they recieved was well oiled and in good working condition. However, as researcher Walt Cakebread observed, the brown paper bag that the FBI alledged LHO used to transport the disassembled rifle in possessed not a trace of oil, even though brown paper sucks up oil like a lamp-wick.

Lt. Colonel William "Craig" Roberts, Infantry USAR and 26 year veteran of the Tulsa, Oklahoma PD, and former Marine sniper, Vietnam who is the author of the internationally published books: "The Walking Dead: A Marine's Story of Vietnam," "One Shot--One Kill: America's Combat Snipers," "Combat Medic--Vietnam," "Police Sniper" and "Kill Zone: A Sniper Looks at Dealey Plaza" has written extensively on the impossibility of the SBT and has declared in no uncertain terms, no way, not LHO, not with that rifle and not from that position.

Gunnery Sargent, Carlos(Gunny) Hathcock, the USMC's premier sniper and chief instructor of the Marine Corps Sniper's School at Quantico, Virginia conducted extensive firing tests while approximating the conditions of Dealey Plaza as closely as possible and proved to his satisfaction the impossibilty of both the SBT as well as the LN scenerio.

Finally, through an inside scource whose identity I am as yet under constraint from revealing, I have learned that Colonel Albert Francis Carone US Army and principal bagman for Oliver North and George Bush's efforts to illegally support the Contra's War against the Sandanista government of Daniel Ortega was positioned on a roof-top at Love Field on Nov.22nd, 1963 with a high powered rifle but was unable to get off a shot.

What we have here is not only a conspiracy to kill JFK, but also another conspiracy to frame LHO by evidence fraud and yet another conspiracy to obstruct justice by preventing any judicial examination of the case, all committed on a massive scale with the American people as victims, and the future of our Republic hanging in the balance.

This amounts to treason on a scale never before encountered in the annals of American history, and as far as I'm concerned, anyone and everyone, who supports the official position in light of the aformentioned facts, as well as the other evidence brought to light by the excellent researchers in this case, for whatever reason, is guilty of aiding and abetting that treason.

As for the principal conspirators, while I am against capital punishment on general principals, in this case I would gladly build the scaffold, pay for the rope, and personally pull the lever.

John Ritchson(SSGT. 499th TC USATC HG US Army Class of 69) (GunSmith/Ballistician,Black Eagle Gun Works) (Survivor, SE Asian Games, 11BRAVO7,Tet 1970)

It has been fun reading the various comments. It follows the general trend of who's who among Freepers (myself included) on who's side the posters agree with. As one person mentioned Michael Rivero went out of his way to post any anti-American junk he could dig up. Even if he was on to something every once and a while, his own style prevented any believablity on the majority of readers. He was just too wacky to follow on any given day.

You make all these demands on what Fred would have to do (I must have missed what the purpose was) but to make your point you post a statement from some person who only makes claims, and that contains a lot of misinformation and bad reasoning. I guess because it argues for the side you want to believe the standards are lower huh?
