The Park Service denied the permit because so many groups want to stage events in the area...

I could understand denying the local moose lodge. But the Navy Seabees on their 60th Anniversary isn't good enough? Even if they're limited to a 20 minute ceremony? I'll bet a DemonRat congress-wack could do a speech there.

I'd like to think they spent a drunken evening at Hooters and a few of the finer strip clubs in the area.
