I read Sun Tzu's the Art of War, and it was full of these kinds of tactics. Taiwan is a great place for American Corporations to have things made, I'll grant you that. My only concern, is if, and this is a big IF, the Taiwanese people are aligned with China in secret, and lulling us into selling them our equipment, then I can see a real problem on the horizon. I can also see a huge problem if China overwhelms them, takes them over, then they have our equipment yet again.

I believe your fear is unfounded. Fear more that the advanced technology they have there would fall to China if they fulfilled their desire to crush Taiwan and control them. My husband has been there and seen several of the electronic labs, they are very advanced. Taiwan is struggling to be independent and free. They have no desire to lose what they have.
