Ok, I want to place my bet here, but I was roundly criticised last bet by several of the truly sensitive folks who read this list and point out the wrong thinkers among us. So let's bet this way.

I'm betting that this poor guy has the absolute right to live and work in America; that he is not an illegal alien and WAS born and raised here in the US of A; and that there is no place in another country that he truly calls home.

My guess is that a 45 year old man lacking education and having difficulty speaking English is not a native born American. As to his citizenship status, that is another matter.

If he can't speak English, 45 years ago bilingual education wasn't the big fad it is now ---I bet he came into the US during the late 80's amnesty, that he has the right to live and work in America because of that reason but wasn't born and raised in the US of A.
