Ok, I want to place my bet here, but I was roundly criticised last bet by several of the truly sensitive folks who read this list and point out the wrong thinkers among us. So let's bet this way.
I'm betting that this poor guy has the absolute right to live and work in America; that he is not an illegal alien and WAS born and raised here in the US of A; and that there is no place in another country that he truly calls home.

You state I'm betting that this poor guy has the absolute right to live and work in America; that he is not an illegal alien and WAS born and raised here in the US of A The article states Hampered by a lack of education and difficulty speaking English,.. also Like Leija, 45, they turn to homeless shelters
My guess is that a 45 year old man lacking education and having difficulty speaking English is not a native born American. As to his citizenship status, that is another matter.

"Hampered by a lack of education and difficulty speaking English"
Note he no habla the inglese. In that case maybe he should sue the state for failing to ensure he can speak English. That way he can suck on the guvmint tit in another way.
