He's 45 years old and can't speak English!
Whenever I shop at my local Price Chopper I always notice a young guy who has very bad legs - very crooked causing him to lurch all over the place. Yet he's working hard. Pushing huge carts loaded with boxes, stocking shelves, etc. I have only the greatest admiration and respect for this man.
I don't think Price Chopper pays much and I don't think they offer any benefits. But I'd be more than happy to see my taxes go to assisting this guy.
I see that a lot around here. It's not only that these people work for less (they could hire students or uneducated people for the same jobs) but that they are hard workers, reliable and friendly. I actually have become friends with a few of them. How can you resist such people? Most of the grocery stores around here don't allow tipping which is a shame. These people would make big bucks! How many other people have the knack to make you smile at the check out? That, to me, is worth a bonus!
