Louis Rukeyser, who recently got booted from "public" television, said today he would launch a business program April 19 on CNBC.

"Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street" will differ little from the old "Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser," he said.

"We'll touch up the cosmetics a bit, but it will be a very familiar session," he said. "It will have all 22 of my previous panelists, all of whom have rejected appearing on any other program and said they will come with me wherever I go."

I hear that PBS' replacement show has Lou's rejects and ex-panelists on it like the perennial bear Julius W. (still alive and still pessimistic, by gosh!) and Bernadette M., among others.

I have always like Rukeyser, even though I think he looks like a puppet.

PBS sure showed Rukeyser who's boss! Now he'll be forced to make serious money in the private sector!

Well, very kewl! Now i have absolutely NO reason to watch PBS. I can't stand those other yakkers arguing about which stocks or funds to buy.

What about that perennial windbag [and occasionally amusing] John Mclaughlin?

Yeah, yer right, John can be windy at time. This is off-topic, but the show is usually fun to watch. Especially when Larry Kudlow and/or Tony Blankley and/or Pat Buchannan drive Eleanor "Follow-me-over-the" Clift to distraction. I just love watching a bleeding-heart liberal get sliced and diced.

Is that rating supposed to be for PBS' prospects or CNBC's prospects?
