''The Weakest Link'' may seem like harmless fun in most of the 70-odd countries it has taken by storm, but in Thailand it is causing an uproar.
While claiming high ratings, the Thai version of the TV quiz show has reduced contestants to tears, provoked national outrage, and drawn an official plea to the producers to show mercy.

My main problem with the show is when the weakest contestants collaborate to throw the strongest ones off. A bit anticlimactic after that.

But that's like real life. Uncanny that way.

If they can't stand the heat...get out of the kitchen? If they are too polite to handle this and can't laugh at themselves they shouldn't go on the show. (side bar...my husband hates the show...heh heh I love it)

You've been here for almost 3 years and can say something that stupid?

I can not imagine any of our Thai friends or relatives enjoying this show. Politeness and allowing others to "save face" is a glue that holds this Buddhist society together and makes it a very pleasant place to visit.

Those Pattaya bar girls must have hated me.They are also hardly (go ahead, it's a straight line,) representative of the real Thai culture.
