I just heard it on a reliable WLS Chicago Talk radio program--that according to Fox News, the Saudis are compensating families of the 9-11 hijackers.
I looked around for it but could not find it. Any help locating the story would be appreciated.

I don't know if this is true, but if it is, it is an extreme outrage. The Saudis very definitely are "with the terrorists", will GWB honor the principles he set forth?

Now it's clear what we have to do. We should conquer Saudi Arabia, then use the bases to launch at attack on Iraq. After that, we can consider which other Muslim countries to hit.

If this can be proven to be true, I will walk to work from now on.

It's sad, but this is what it takes to wake people up, providing the media actually reports this. Never assume.

But our President is telling us that the Saudis are our friends. This story must be false. Yep, no way would our Saudi "friends" do this.

It would not entirely surprise me, but I would not want to run with it until someone can confirm it.
I think the Saudis and the other rich Gulf States may help compensate the families of Palestinian terrorists, but that is a different matter. Unfortunately we (I mean our government) can't legitimately complain about their helping the Palestinians until we decide to tell them that that sort of behavior is unacceptable. So far, Bush has been reluctant to speak out that openly. To give him credit, if he did, he would certainly be the first in a long line of presidents to tell the Saudis what he really thought of them.

If this turns out to be true . . .
its about all I need to push me over the edge.

Probably from money collected in US mosques. The euphemism they give to the FBI is that these are "charities" and the money collected is for widows and orphans. Sounds nice but the widows and orphans are the families of terrorists including the hijackers. All Muslim charities should be suspect.

Bush is a liar and a hypocrite. He has betrayed us for the House of Saud.
To: liberalism=failure
I heard that also, they are paying families of suicide bombers also. We need to kick sand in their face and take back the refineries we paid for.
To: liberalism=failure
It could also be just a few Saudis, and not the Saudi government. I doubt the government itself would pay the families.

Hey, here's a verified source. The Saudis tell their kids that Jews drink their blood.

Soldiers' pensions or hush money?
I suspect there are cats the Saudis don't want out of the bag, however much they say they hate Osama.
Maybe even they really do hate him. But they use him. No honor among terrorists.

I find it impossible to see why Bush continues to describe certain outlying places as Iraq, Iran, and North Korea as terrorists, or axis of evil, without mentioning the very slimy bulby body of that great spider---Saudi Arabia.
There it sits at the center of its evil web, paying for all of the sin and vice and murder in the world.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset. George W Bush is approving the funding of terrorists daily, and I don't hear one whimper from anyone. Or is that $500 million we send annually to Adolf Arafart and the PLO a "humanitarian" aid package?

If this can be proven to be true, I will walk to work from now on. Don't bother, the US isn't dependent on Saudi or other Middle Eastern oil. We do import some from there, but most of that could be replaced by other, mostly closer, sources, albeit at slightly higher prices. Any oil cutoff might freeze the Europeans and Japanese, but not the US or Britain, which has it's own supply in the North Sea.

The Saudis have their fingerprints all over this:
Thanks to TomGuy for much of the above.
I am still wondering if the only honorable way to "solve" the Arab-Israeli conflict is to use "ethnic cleansing" (by which I mean the polite, but forceful removal of all 3 million Palis from Eretz Yisrael -- which is not "genocide", as some on the Left misuse the term).
The current wave of "suicide" bombers (a misnomer, since their primary goal is not suicide but the mass murder of civilians) is unprecedented and unrelenting. But it should not be unexpected. It is the direct (and obviously planned) result of brainwashing that started with Pali children as young as
kindergarteners. Look at the faces of the babies in the pictures above. What vomitous horror. What unspeakable evil.
And homicidal-bombers are not some unforseen phenomenom that sprung forth from the "hopelessness" of the populace, as the PA "leaders" would have us believe. They are part and parcel of the war machine created by the PA to wreak systematic havoc on Israel. Someone decided to train -- or more accurately, brainwash -- the Pali youth. Someone decided to buy the materials, make the bombs, and hide them. Someone decided to lay out and plan a path to a weak spot in Israeli defenses. Someone decided to give these murdering-bombers their weapons. Someone decided to videotape their farewell messages. Someone decided to pay the family to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars specifically for their "martyrdom." And, as we are now learning, that means someone like
Saddam Hussein,
Yassir Arafat and the
Saudi elite.
The PA has not been preparing its people for peace, but radicalizing them for visceral hate and unrelenting war. Indeed, as Henry Kissinger has
pointed out:
In reality, the number of Palestinian leaders... who want peace in the Western sense -- as a point after which the world lives free of tensions with a consciousness of reconciliation -- is minuscule. The fundamental schism is between those who want to bring about the destruction of Israel by continuing the present struggle, and those who believe that an agreement now would be a better strategy to rally forces for the ultimate showdown later on.
The unfortunate result of Arafat's strategy of hatred is that Pali society is no longer able to co-exist in peace with Israel. Recent polls tell the story clearly: Over 87% of the Palis
support terror operations that murder Israeli civilians. Given these numbers, there is
NO POSSIBILITY of a negotiated settlement that would be honored by the Palis within their lifetime. Arafat has brainwashed an entire generation of youngsters to become suicide bombers. He has unleashed almost 10 years of official "judeo-nazi" indoctrination on the Pali people, making PA pretensions to peace a sick joke. Arafat has committed not only a crime against Israel, but also against against Palestinians and their children -- a crime against humanity.
Current conditions make ethnic cleansing not only justified, but
morally required. As antithetical as it sounds to liberal ears, ethnic cleansing is literally the only humane solution. To pursue a negotiated settlement is akin to locking a tiger and a human with a gun in the same cage. Assign the roles to whomever you wish, but the result is the same. Someone is eventually going to be killed.
The world community's role in this to date has been to create the spectacle -- a caged, semitic death match. The world community's response going forward ought to be the equivalent of an "Allied invasion of Nazi Germany" because nothing less will suffice to rid the world of this monstrosity. Eject all Arab peoples from Gaza and the West Bank (because once you eliminate the terrorists and their supporters, virtually nobody is left). Then round up the PA leaders (including "
clerics" and "
teachers"), and put these so-called leaders on trial for
Crimes against Humanity. As they are found guilty, hang them in public.
And to the extent that this PA policy was conducted, funded, supported, promoted, or otherwise enabled by their Arab bretheren (notably
Syria,
Lebanon,
Egypt,
Iraq,
Qatar, and
Saudi Arabia) then it is incumbent upon these countries to pay for their sins by taking in the Palis. Arabs created this mess. Let Arabs bear the toll for the human misery they created.
Even Tom Friedman of the New York Times has come around, finally grasping the global ramifications of Arafat's evil:
"...all they [the Palestinian leaders] can agree on is what they want to destroy, not what they want to build.... Let's be very clear: Palestinians have adopted suicide bombing as a strategic choice.... This threatens all civilization because if suicide bombing is allowed to work in Israel, then, like hijacking and airplane bombing, it will be copied and will eventually lead to a bomber strapped with a nuclear device threatening entire nations."
What is needed is the elimination of this cancer on humanity. End it now or more innocent lives will be lost. End it now or it will escalate to Weapons of Mass Destruction. End it clearly and with finality so that there is NO moral ambiguity. Moral clarity demands nothing less. And as a sop to liberal sensibilities, tell everyone to "do it for the children".
