Not the Mossad. The successes in cleaning up some of the perpetrators and planners of the 1972 Olympic Massacre were those of the Israeli General Staff Patrol, sometimes called the *Sword of Gideon.*
Mossad operative Mike Harari was involved in a parallel operation and managed to assassinate a Moroccan waiter in a case of mistaken identity in Lilehammer, Norway, when members of his team incorrectly identified Ahmed Bouchiki, a Moroccan- born waiter who they mistook for their real target, Ali Hassan Salameh, the "Red Prince" of the Palestinian Black September Organization. Oops. Such are not the sort of *sucesses* that Israel can tolerate.
There've been other successes by military and other Israeli units and organizations have generally been given credit, but which is deserved elsewhere. And some spectacular failures of Mossad blundering- as in supplying Idi Amin's Ugandan forces, which eventually helped terrorists hold Israelis captive, or as in Noriega's Panama [Hararri again] and in supplying bodyguards and intelligence managers to the Colombian drug cartels, are less well publicized.
