If you mearly close your browser, the next person that uses your computer be it your wife, teenaged kid, mother-in-law, co-worker or office janitor at 3:00 AM can browse at your last site visited in the address bar, click on FreeRepublic and then be logged in to FR with your FR cookie with full posting privileges under the name "Keeper of the Turf". They can also Self Search and see everything that you wrote. Do you really want your mother-in-law reading your opinions on the "Why Asians Make Better Wives" thread? :- (
So, IceGirl2, go to the FR Intro page . On the left-hand sidebar, under the "In the Forum" section, the 9th item down will be the "Log Off/Clear Your Cookie" function.
