It's not my logic I'm using, it's Paul's. He painted the picture of what a church leader should be. All I did was post a few verses out of the New Testament and read them as it is written. I will say no more as I don't want to get into a Southern Baptist vs. Catholic argument, and that is futile.

Uh, Paul was a church leader. Are you saying that he did not consider himself a leader? I think the danger in all of this is when you pick and choose the scripture quotes you like in order to support your personal agenda. What Paul is doing is taking a stand against polygamous practices, not commanding marriage. BTW, this is not a Catholic vs. Protestant argument. One of your Protestant bretheren illustrates this point beautifully over on the religious forum on the Charles Stanley thread.
