Baseball fans who know what goes into a hot dogspent hens, snouts, spleens, even pigs' lipsknow better than to order the foot-long at the food counterunless they're lucky enough to live near one of PETA's "Top 10 Veg-Friendly Ballparks," each of which features delicious veggie dogs, as well as lots of other meatless menu items. These stadiums have hit a homerun for their fans, and the brisk sales of the meat-free traditional baseball favorite show that it's good business for concessionaires, too.
It's time for ALL ball parks to step up to the plate and offer veggie dogs and other veggie fare. Millions of fans have switched to healthy vegetarian diets and wouldn't dream of touching the fat-laden "mystery ingredients" in a hot dog. They want batting averages to go upnot their cholesterol!
You can help us persuade ball parks to follow the example of restaurants everywhere and offer delicious, nutritious vegetarian hot dogs and other snacks. In the meantime, come explore these 10 stadiums that are "safe" for vegetarians.
1: Tropicana Field Tampa Bay Devil Rays
2: Coors Field Colorado Rockies
3: The SkyDome Toronto Blue Jays
4: Network Associates Coliseum Oakland A's
5: Pro Player Stadium Florida Marlins (TIE)
5: Cinergy Field The Cincinnati Reds (TIE)
5: Comiskey Park Chicago White Sox (TIE)
8: Dodger Stadium Los Angeles Dodgers
9: SAFECO Field Seattle Mariners (TIE)
9: Astros Field Houston Astros (TIE)
Now dang it; this is downright embarrassing. I'd rather have the Enron name back on the field than this horrid distinction. :)
