The government has INS and Border Patrol, they don't need to try and suck in the local PDs. I don't need the size of the local PD growing because the government can't guard the border. I don't need my tax dollars to go for more militarization of the local PDs.
I was surprised, to be honest. Austin PD has been becoming more and more militarized as it is.
Well then, Guess its only the American citizens that their militarized police force is focused on, huh?

I never said anything about the San Antonio PD, I have no idea where you got that from. I was talking about Austin, and that the PD claims they need a few hundred more cops.
Ok tex, I got the wrong city. However, you clearly stated in you're post #98 that *Austin* PD was becoming more militarized. And now, Austin PD claims they need hundreds more cops.
My question is: Since the Austin PD is becoming more militarized, yet they refuse or threaten to refuse to inforce immigration laws or arrest illegal aliens, what is the focus of this militarized police force in Austin?
It seems to me if they refuse to arrest criminal illegal aliens, the focus of this militarization must be directed towards American citizens in Texas.
Do you see something wrong with this picture?
