BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In the Impact segment tonight, Newsweek magazine has a big article on former President Clinton, in which he talks about the Marc Rich pardon.
Joining us now from New York is Newsweek's Managing Editor, John Meacham.
Mr. Meacham, I read your magazine religiously every week, and I really respect you guys. I think you do a very good job. But this interview with President Clinton -- I have it right here in my hands -- this interview is a softball. It's a softball.

That wasn't Jonathon Alter. It was Linda Lovelace.

And now that Clinton no longer has "to get back to the work the American people elected me to do...." how about getting back instead to those rape allegations?

O'Reilly's show was a great one last night.
This particular interview was masterful. He exposed the NewsWeek nancy for the intellectually dishonest sneak he is.
Also, Buchanan on the Middle east situation was a terrific interview with some important points raised.
I even enjoyed Robert Reich, who I find more likeable the farther he moves away from the Clinton slime machine.

Quote of the Day
------------------------------------------------------
Imus: "Whose idea was it to do this?"
Jonathan Alter: "Our editor (Newsweek). I
thought it was actually a
good idea."
Imus: "It was an awful idea. It's ridiculous."
Jonathan Alter: "The world is blowing up and
nobody cares what this fat
phony is doing. Nobody cares.
Nobody!"

Imus, with O'Reilly on the phone, and both were chewing on Alter....big time. He deserves it.

Did Newsweek Give Clinton a Pass? Yes they did. But it's actually much worse than a pass because they let him get away with lying to the American people (again).

Who was Alter calling a "fat phony"? Not Clinton?! He couldn't possibly have said that about his hero!

Imus called Clinton a fat phony. The transcript is wrong.

Ask yourselves this question: What incident made Matt Drudge really famous?
Hint: Mikey (Spikey) Isikoff
Hint: What magazine has the nickname Newspeak Mag for its nauseating pro-Clinton spin?
Hint: What magazine does the biggest Clinton "Ho" of them all work for? Another Hint: She has a piercing voice and can even out-shout John McLaughlin.

Did Newsweek Give Clinton a Pass? Don't they always?

Duh!! Years ago, when Newsweek allowed Eleanor Cliff on the _Capital Gang_ to say that she was an employee of Newsweek, it was clear to me that the employer had as much objectivity and integrity as the employee. There never was any point in listening to her because there was never any doubt what she'd say; she was a Willie's flack through ALL of the filth and corruption. Why would you read that magazine when you could buy the _National Inquirer_, a publication with about as much integrity but cheaper and more entertaining.
A pass? This is Newsweek, for god's sake! Even some of the lefty journals have more integrity than that rag.

I remember years ago when I was in college and made to read Newsweek for a report. I remember on my report I stated something like, "why read this magazine at all, the news is two weeks old when it comes out." Of course, I got a D on the report. Since then, the only time I ever see this rag is in a business recption room while waiting on a sales call.

In bill clinton's life, there is only night, dark, moonless, starless, and never ending, hellish night.

Did Newsweek Give Clinton a Pass? A pass? They got on their knees and gave him a Lewinsky.
