Netanyahu was on fox news claiming that what is happening to Israel is equivalent to what happened to the US on 9-11. So they put out the question--

Is what is happening in the middle east the same as 9/11?

President Bush doesn't want to become a full partner with such a tiny group of people, when compared to the rest of the ME are small fries.

I agree there are some slime who hate Jews, but most of us on the right who are Christians are in your corner big time. But I think Bush's calculus is about appeasing a non existent coaltion for an attack on Iraq. But the ragheads aren't going to back him this time, no matter what happens re: Israel. As Sharon said, Bush is sacrificing Israel the way Checkoslovakia was sacrificed in WWII. It was wrong then and its wrong now. And It didn't work then, it won't work now.

I love President Bush and voted for him but let me tell you, his current policy SUCKS!

As has been said all it takes for evil to prosper is for good people to do nothing. Good people are doing nothing And evil IS prospering.

...superorganized and affluent Jewish community... owns the media ...bought and paid for Congress ...loyalties are with Israel not the US

All the code phrases put together quite nicely in one succinct paragraph. Tell me, where in your house do you keep your photograph of the Fuerher hidden?

Israel needs to get along with those who want to destroy Israel.

I didn't say that.

Israel should do whatever it feels necessary. But America has absolutely zero obligation to give it's stamp of approval to the actions the Israeli's choose, nor to the reasoning behind them. And as far a Bibi, I don't trust him, nor do I appreciate his lectures directed towards America.

And as for the 9-11 attacks, we still don't know all who assisted in the attack. Once we do, I have a feeling the list of motivations will expand interestingly.

Of course it's the same. "Martyrdom" attacks by jabbering Muslim savages on innocent civilians, simultaneously denied, celebrated and blamed on the Jews by the crazy Islamic brotherhood. And, importantly, the deniability these sneak attacks give to their instigators -- Palifat, Insane, etc., -- offers them a powerful tool to wage an unlimited and escalating war on civilization itself, while still enjoying the PR services of their toadying left-wing apologists in our own media. This MO has deep roots in the Arab psyche -- historically these people were brigands and bandits, raiders and slavers, without the wherewithal to build stable, productive societies, living perforce as parasites. That cultural conditioning and the depleted gene pool in the Arab Peninsula, where the average IQ is 85 -- borderline retarded -- explains a lot, I think.

This is all the more reason I feel sorry for the Israelis and what they are going through. Agreed. I wish GWB would step up and do something since we are in a war on terrorism.

One could argue that psychologically, the bombings and terror directed against Israel is much worse than 9/11 was for Americans. They must live in constant fear. Especially since Israel is so geographically small. In America, New York is distant for many people, and the horror of what happened on 9/11 has a kind of sterile, made-for-TV feel. In Israel, I would guess that a large percentage of the populace has been directly affected by the terror.

To put it another way, 9/11 was one big bang followed by a whole lot of payback on our part. In Israel, by contrast, they are suffering a psychological death by a thousand paper cuts, and have taken it for years.

I agree with all you've said and I would only add that they are also surrounded on every side by numerous enemies who would love to see them wiped off the face of the earth. And also the world political community has come down much harder on Israel than on us.

Israel should do whatever it feels necessary. But America has absolutely zero obligation to give it's stamp of approval to the actions the Israeli's choose, nor to the reasoning behind them.

In other words we can make one standard for us and another for them. We can set up principles for being against terrorist attacks when they are on us, and ignore those principles when they are on others. Sounds like hypocrisy to me.

And as far a Bibi, I don't trust him, nor do I appreciate his lectures directed towards America.

Well, too bad, because he's right. We should be ashamed of the hypocrisy of our government. And I'd say considering how two faced our government is being he was a lot nicer about it than I would be.

And as for the 9-11 attacks, we still don't know all who assisted in the attack.

Really?

Once we do, I have a feeling the list of motivations will expand interestingly.

Hmm. Well, don't keep me in suspense here who do you think its going to be??????

Now just watch all the Israel-first pinheads attack you for asserting the obvious.

Israel first? no. What is right comes first. And being against scumbags who blow innocent people up in the name of their religion is what's right, no matter where it happens. But I guess being a frigging moron you wouldn't understand that would you?

So, tell me necho, were you celebrating along with the Palestinians the day they blew up the world trade center? I bet you were, weren't you?

I'd say otherwise; I'd call it worse. We lost, what, 3000 plus casualties out of 260 plus million. The Israelis seem to be losing proportionately more on a month to month basis.

And has anyone on the 'poor palestinians' side ever considered what these people could have gotten with a Palestinian version of MLK or Ghandi? But noooo, they don't believe in passive non-resistance (Allah must not reward you for that), so they'll go blow up a disco instead. And with every civilian they kill, the disgust toward them grows, and their support base in the west shrinks.

Oh, and one more thing.

Why, exactly, does anybody want to pi$$ us off in the first place? There is a grand total of 1 (ONE) country in this world that has nuked somebody. And we're it. It just doesn't seem prudent to attack us.

Great point. If the Palestinians had a leader like that they would have their own state in a heartbeat. They could have everything they want and more.

But they will never choose a leader like that because they are for the most part a vile hateful people who don't deserve to be treated well.

And all the PC whitewash in the world won't stop those of us willing to see the truth from seeing it.
