Memphis produces 50% of the State prison population. Nuf said, I don't go into Memphis with out my Bersa .380 ( I know caliber is not big enough for many FReepers, BUT I like the feel of it in my small hand)

The USSC should but it won't rule no knocks and plain clothes raids as illegal entry and defendable by owner. They should be ruled unconstitutional and halted. While I can understand law enforcements need for element of suprise for their saftey the rights freedoms, and saftey of innocent property owners must come first. As well no raids should occur without a warrant sworn by the officer accussing the violations conducting the raid.

If it's what's good for you, then it's what's good for you.

The best gun is one that you will always be able to have with you -- a .22 in the hand beats a .44 mag left home. And a guy might laugh at the .22, but never while one is pointed at his left eyeball

I'm waiting for a prosecutor to nail Harper because the invaders identified themselves as cops, and he still popped them, thus showing intent to assault law enforcement officers

I thought the same thing.

Let's hope their lawyer helps them remember that, because they've know these lads all their lives, they recognized their voices. (I'm assuming they were masked.)

I got my wife a Taurus in .22 magnum. It won't knock a chunk out of an assailant like my .45 will, but it beats pepper spray. Same with your .380.

RE: Post #14

That is correct. The police behave exactly like thugs in some cases. It would be hard to tell the difference.

I tried several guns out at the gun/shooting range for fit in my hand, the revolvers butts were to fat, some of the larger calibers were to wide. My Bersa hides well and fits a woman's small hand. Recoil isn't bad, less than a 357 revolver. Not bad to clean either. Bullets are more expensive than 9mm are. I use Glaser's as my carry rounds as they are designed not to pass through. That is important when you live in a mobile home with neighbors just a few feet away.

I for one will greet any dynamic entry to my home with some well placed shots. I shoot two center of mass followed by one center of face. I have many times had police officers knock on my door and I have always invited them in. The only problem they face is getting dog hair on their uniform while I am pouring the coffee.

If someone ever came up with a warrant then I would of course cooperate with that warrant. Of course at present I can think of no reason for any warrant to be issued for my home, but mistakes do happen.

AS a Side note I would suggest that every person who is armed print off a copy of this article it may prove useful should you ever have to shoot in self defense.

Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown
