She described herself as a "social activist" caught up in events beyond her control.

The Johnny Walker defense. Expect to hear this a lot in the future.

Its high time that we stopped letting the left off the hook and severely punished them for the violent acts and treason they commit. Berenson deserves to rot away in prison because of her terrorist acts.

Hopefully, she will only be feed Lima Beans while in prison in Lima Peru!

This is why we should have let the Afghans have Johnny Jihad to render justice to him.

There is no justice of elite left wing terrorists in America. Their elite ACLU lawyers insure that justice never comes to their fellow elites.

She went to another country, knowing what was best for "them," and tried to overthrow their government. She should be in prison. Other do-gooders, take heed. What's more, if people come to this country and try to overthrow the government, I have a reasonable expectation that my government will put them in prison for a long time, as well, regardless of how well intentioned and naive they are. I don't believe she was naive about what she was doing and who she was helping, rather, she was naive about how seriously the government of Peru would take her actions, and how little the U.S. could do to help if she got in trouble. The parents sound like the kind of people who bail their kids out of trouble from the get-go, and then wonder why they can't ever stand on their own two feet and function as adults. Too bad, so sad. Guess what? The Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement web site is being funded by taxpayers via the University of California at San Diego: http://burn.ucsd.edu/~ats/mrta.htm

Click around their homepage:

http://burn.ucsd.edu/

Taxpayers are funding sites for groups which are on the America's list of terrorist organizations, including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
