I think most Freepers know that Israel has a socialist economy, having been founded by the Zionist equivalent of US Cold War Liberals. The difference between Israel and its neighbors is that Israel's economic policies might change as a result of free discussion among its citizens.
Of course, if you would prefer to live in that libertarian paradise, the United Arab Emirates, please don't let me stop you.
Without economic freedom, there is no freedom. And don't tell me the people can vote to change it. Once you get socialism so entrenched, too many people are feeding off others to change a thing. It usually takes a war, a serious depression or a revolution to change those types of societies.
