I am trying to find the President's remarks but am only getting the Queen Mother's death information now. ON the tube (I have a TV without access to the Fox cable channel in the room with my PC - so am limited to local news channels and CNN. Ugh. CNN is only giving info about the Queen Mother's death.

President Bush is deeply concerned about the loss of innocent life - (re: terrorist attacks in Israel) - I fully understand Israel's need to defend itself - I respect that - a country that has received a wave of suicide bombers into the heart of its cities......I urge the Israeli government make sure there is a path to peace as she secures their homeland. There's got to be a peaceful solution. I have been assured by the Israeli government that Arafat will not be harmed. He (Arafat) has got to speak up - he has got to make it absolutely clear that the PA does not support these terrorist actions. Gen. Zinni will stay there and try to find opportunities to work for peace. Last night our administration supported a UN resolution to support a ceasefire to start the process to end this cycle of violence. Here we are on one of the HOliest of Holidays and our prayers and thoughts go to the families of the victims - and I pray for peace...and I urge all parties to recognize that terrorists cannot stand the thought of peace. All of us must work together to find ways to stop this terrorism.

The President is continuing to speak - but CNN has the video of the latest terrorist attack going on while his voice is being broadcast. We need the video, Mr. President.

But, actually, now that I think about it, letting people see the bloody work of the Palestinian butchers while he talks about all the world's leaders condemning TERRORISTS (not Israel) - is effective. "We must all come together TO STOP TERROR. We can achieve peace - but not until there is a concerted effort to rout terror!"

"It is clear to me - that the more we try to work for peace - the more killer organizations will try to disrupt the peace process. The best way to work for peace is to make a united front against TERROR - if we who really long for peace are to make any progress towards peace.

The countries in the region must speak clearly to condemn terror. I appreciate the fact that the Saudi's spoke about Israel's right to exist. The corollary to that is that in order for Israel to exist - terrorist attacks must stop.

Every day there has been a suicide bombing. Every day their government deals with the loss of innocent life. ON the other hand - I understand why some Palestinians feel so hopeless......but to the Palestinians who long for a peaceful solution - must do everything in their power to stop the terorrism.

Talking about Hezbollah - they are a terrorist organization. (Iran's shipment of weapons to terrorists is mentioned.) ...... I think Mr. Arafat could have done more three weeks ago and could do more today. I am disappointed in his unwillingness to do whatever is necessary to stop the terror bombings.

There's got to be a much more concerted effort by Arafat and others to stop terror. So long as there is a reign of terror, there will be no peace. Therefore, stopping terror is first.
