Leave it to the Log Cabin Republicans, the GOP's resident gay organization, to applaud a nasty insult of a Democratic member of Congress and lend it a certain consumerist panache.

Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and her fight with the Los Angeles Police Department over Police Commission President Rick Caruso's use of the b-word to describe her during a recent meeting with top brass. The item in LCR's "Inclusion Wins" newsletter, which is e-mailed weekly to 2,000 subscribers, then notes: "OK, it's tacky to call a Congresswoman the b-word, but still, how many of you didn't immediately think of sending him a thank you note . . . ?"

To quote Michelle Malkin: She is one of the most self-serving, hate-filled, race-obsessed politicians in America. The Democratic Party doesn't just embrace her. It kneels at her feet.
Along with the 'new tone in Washington' it is time for this petty politician to go. Americans do not need to pay her one more dime in salary.
