Ms. magazine has always lost money, but the ax-grinding left-wingers behind it didn't seem to mind. Until now.
The magazine never used to take ads - not that cosmetics companies were pounding on its door - but that's changing under the new ownership. A group that calls itself Feminist Majority Foundation, which took over Gloria Steinem's little publication in November, wants the thing to pay for itself, according to the April 1 issue of BusinessWeek.
Will there be abortuary ads to look forward to? BusinessWeek says Ms. will deign to accept ads from other feminist organizations.

As a genuine Feminist - just give me a chance! These witches need some counseling! They are so presumptious to think that women can't be conservative. They are so presumptious to think they represent all women!

The NOW Organization is too busy with the gay issues and the abortion issues. They are totally out of touch with the REAL problem for women: which is raising children as a single parent!!!

Hmm, it seems to me that in the late '80's Ms. did run advertising. Every back cover was a Virginia Slims ad. Funny how they weren't reporting the growing problem of lung cancer among women on the inside pages. Of course, even with ads, it was still losing money. This time will be different?

See post #9.
Recieved email back that said I can call to discuss rates,or provide my phone # and they will call me.
Will find out what their response is to a pro-life ad.
