Just how out of touch with America is the Hollywood left? Janet Reno's gubernatorial campaign is bombing in Florida, but she's a hit in Tinseltown.
"She was amazingly popular," casting director Brennan DuFresne gushed to the Palm Beach Post after bringing the controversial former Clinton attorney general to Elton John's post-Oscar party. "Everyone wanted to shake her hand."
"Everyone" may have included such guests as Clinton idolator Kevin Spacey, Gore campaigner Jon Bon Jovi, Denzel Washington, Sissy Spacek, Daryl Hannah, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan.
"I felt like an ugly duck out of water," she told Jay Leno later on "The Tonight Show." Leno said that when he saw footage of the 6-foot-2 Reno fainting recently, she "looked like a tree coming down."
Meanwhile, in Florida, the powerful AFL-CIO this week was yet the latest pro-Democrat union to endorse one of Reno's obscure challengers vying for the nomination to oppose popular Gov. Jeb Bush.

Ike should've just handed Joe McCarthy and the guys on HUAC a copy of the Hollywood California phone directory and said "Guys, here's your blacklist, save the taxpayers the money..."

I think Newsmax is right about soemthing for once: it says alot about how out of touch Hollywood is with the rest of America. Reno had a rally in FL a couple of weeks ago where a total of fifteen people showed up. Thats 15! Yet here we have Hollywood fawning over her? What a bunch of dorks!

This is worth a story? Kind of like "Crack Dealers a Hit with Crack Heads"

Maybe Holly-would can give "her" a consolation show where "she" can be an imaginary governor of a state (ala the West Wing).

Re your post #6 - Good question. You should write to The Tonight Show and ask them.
Also, good think Janet was such a hit in Hollywood, because she's never going to be elected to the job of governor of FL. Maybe she'll relocate to grab some Hollywood roles in movies. So much for loving Florida!

Think about this:
There is not ONE WAY in which a Hollywoodite can look at Janet Reno, and NOT FEEL BETTER about himself/herself!
That's IT!

Well, I'll say it anyway: People just grab Janet Reno's hand, and she does the shaking for both of them.

Gee, Elton John and Kevin Spacey; that courting of homosexuals is going full steam. Other than Denzel, this isn't exactly an A-list gathering.
