They said the prince, Saudi Arabia's intelligence chief and a former interior minister, had fallen unconscious and was rushed to the American University Hospital.

Jeez, they have more princes than Grimms Fairy Tales...LOL. And what exactly are the qualifications to become a Saudi 'Prince'? Is there a lineage? Is it bought? Self-appointed? Can anyone apply?

If he doesn't make it, there are about 138,982 other Saudi princes to take his place at the table.

What happened? Did he accidentally get some soap on himself?

Back in the early seventies, my roommate was dating a Saudi student. One Sunday she asked me to go with them to a Saudi prince's home to watch them play poker. Apparently it was a Sunday ritual.
Any-hoo, there were Saudi newspapers all over the place with with the king's picture. The prince looked just like him. Lots of body gaurds that never spoke. I don't think they even cracked a smile all day. The prince was the only one dressed in robes.
My girlfriend and I were seated at a table in the corner. All the guys sat in a circle on the floor and played poker. The prince, of course, won. He won every Sunday.
After the game we had dinner with the Saudies on the floor eating from a pot. We were given silverware and ate at the table.
After dinner They called the kingdom. All their parents were gathered at the palace to get the call (higher-ups in the military, gov., etc.).
BTW, they all drank Chevis/coke. Except the prince. He didn't partake in adult beverages.
