I think so. My 16 year old daughter got me to go see it. I'm usually the one that wait for the video. She wanted to go see it for her World History class. They're currently discussing Vietnam. If she went to see it and wrote a paper on it, she got extra credit. It was pretty interesting afterward though. There were parts that she picked up on that I missed and vice versa. We both really liked it though. Hopefully it won't be forgotten come next years Oscars.

...ALOHA terilyn...
...Thank you for your sharing and I'm so glad to see the Vietnam War being taught in School with an encouragement for students to see its best teaching aid.

I was happy to see that as well. As I said, we've had many interesting discussions around our house about this. Kids want to learn and they want the truth. Not some main stream media take on the truth as they see it.

...All good news here, terilyn. Just wish it was happening in the 1960's instead of in a new century.

Was it still going on in 1964? Yes, it was. In fact, depending on how rural the area was, it was still going on later than that. I remember travelling across country with my parents in the late 60s and seeing a sign in a restaurant in rural Tennessee that said "Colored Section."
