In the meantime, unlike the level of threat the bacteria posed to the humans, the reason behind their aggressiveness presently raises no doubt.

Here's a few critiques of this article:
Bacteria aren't aggressive or angry or even horny - they are only HUNGRY.
There is not indication that these are "mutations" but rather the few organisms that got through the sterilization process.
These organisms exist on Earth but in constant competition with a gazillion other organisms that will eat them for breakfast.
