Wow Thinkin' Gal. You definely put a lot of thought into your reply. (no pun intended) I gotta go but I need to reread your insights. I like them so far. cheers. PS He is coming back this pentacost. As the Jewish tradition says Enoch was raptured on his birthday, which tradition says was on the feast of weeks, so shall the church be raptured on the day in was born. ;-)

Wasn't the Last Supper actually the Passover Seder? That would have Him being crucified on Friday, the day after.

J"Wasn't the Last Supper actually the Passover Seder? That would have Him being crucified on Friday, the day after."

Yes, the Last Supper was the passover seder. Christ would have eaten the seder on passover eve which was Wednesday by Jewish accounting, since the day starts at sundown Tuesday. Christ was taken later that night, tried and sentenced and crucified and buried before sundown on wednesday. Then at sundown, the passover sabbath,(on thursday) started. Remember it was refered to as a HIGH holy day, not just an ordinary weekly sabbath. Christ said he must be in the heart of the earth 3 days and 3 nights.

If he were crucified on Friday, you don't get 3+3 if he rose early Sunday morning. You'd only have Friday night, Saturday night and only one full day on Saturday. He was alive until about 3pm Friday so it couldn't count as a "day." He arose early morning Sunday I believe before sunrise, since the disciples came early, Mat 28:1, so that could hardly count as a day. But that's mine and others reading of it. Some have their traditional beliefs, and I'm not going to argue about it since neither can be solidly "proved" out of scripture.
