Carl Rove knows that conservatives will be pissed off in the short run, but will vote for Bush nontheless in '04.

Afterall conservatives don't like being lied to but they hate liberals.

Conservatives are blindly loyal to no one. They are rugged individualists and critical thinkers.

This gets in the way sometimes.

If we were Liberals we would be used to and even enjoy being lied to. We would even campaign for known liars.

It's not easy being conservative. You expect things. Like honesty.

... who will be voting for George W. Bush in 2004 no matter what he does.

Carl Rove should also know that the base doesn't always show up to vote when it gets disillusioned.

What if the democrats run Zell Miller for president in 2004? At this point, I think Miller may be more conservative than Bush.

"Carl Rove knows that conservatives will be pissed off in the short run, but will vote for Bush nontheless in '04."

I think the California's Republican primary was a good indicator as to how most of us Republican's think. After 245(i) and now CFR this Republican and many more like me will be

(1) Staying home and not voting in the next Presidental election if Bush is the only Republican candidate.

Or

(2) Voting for any third party candidate that runs on a anti-illegal immigration platform.

And if because of this a Democrat gets elected so be it. For a country with a President that sanctions open borders(amnesty to me is the same as having an open border policy), and that views the constitution as a mere piece of paper, is no different then a country with a Democrat in my mind. And since I despise dems so much, without another choice I will not vote. And don't for a minute think I am in the minority, in fact I dare say I am in the Majority.

BINGO!

All this wind and pee about not voting for Bush on '04 because of CFR is pure nonsense. These same 'patriots' who are yelling the loudest about the constitution being violated, will be the first one in line to vote straight R come election time.

Rove knows it, Dubya knows it and the D's know it...

What we, as conservatives, need to do is harp on CFR and its unconstitutionality until Karl Rove knows we ain't kidding this time. I hope he and Bush have a case of the hives at this very moment over this decision. We may hate liberals enough not to vote for them but we also hate traitors and liars and we simply won't go to the voting booth next time.
