Thank you for posting the link to the Quincentennial web site. One ray of cheer in a sea of bad news.

I live in Germany, where there are millions of Turkish immigrants, some now third generation and/or with German citizenship.

I am immeasurably grateful for the help the Turks gave my people during the holocaust. A friend and colleague of mine here is Turkish, there is not one drop of anti-Semitism in his blood. His wife is a modern professional woman, their children are being brought up to be citizens of the 21st century, not the 7th.

We know that you are a noble people that do not stab their friends in the back and never forget a favor. Thank you for your nice words about my people. Rest assured that we also have not and will not forget those who have stood by us through our darkest hours. The Jews are one of the very few people which fall into that category.
