Great in depth article, Tom Burnett's wife also says that before getting on the plane September her husband was having 'visions' of varoius sites in Washingtom including the White House.

Burnett, a devout Catholic took it as a sign from God that he would be called on to somehow serve his country in the nations capital.

Point well take. It's just so damned maddening that we had been conditioned to assume that the evil bastards would follow the "traditional" rules of engagement to which you so correctly refer.....

Point is, I believe I've seen you advocate jailing homosexuals. Under your regime, Bingham would have been sitting in prison instead of acting in a heroic fashion on 9/11. As if that isn't enough, it appears Bingham was also a fellow conservative.

You know that many people have been heroic at one time or another. I have heard of many instances where a decorated military hero commits murder or a person who has committed a crime (Murder included) at one time or another later saves a life or is otherwise labeled a hero.

Does this mean that they should not have been prosecuted for their crimes? No they deserved to be convicted. Another thing I would point out is that there where others on that flight that where heroes. If he had not been there then, I believe others would have taken his place. It is a fact that people who have committed evil acts have also committed heroic acts.

The fact is homosexuals are perverts and need to be given an incentive to seek to change their destructive lifestyles. Giving them free acceptance will not accomplish anything except in enabling them to continue to lead sick and destructive lifestyles. I am not going to be a willing enabler of their perversion. I believe that the single good thing he did is overshadowed by the many bad things he no doubt participated in.

Good reply. Your logic is sound, even if I believe your initial premise to be wrong. I just wanted to bring to your attention the fact that you'd be jailing people like Bingham and Dick Cheney's daughter. Sometimes it's easy to consider a group in the abstract, but more difficult when it contains people you respect.

So, like Fred Phelps with his "God hates fags" mantra, or Neil Horsely with his "Nuremberg Files," you'd advocate a little violence to make gays do what you want them to do?

P.S. I notice your goofy "Christiangallerynews" thread was pulled the other day.

Good. Horsley is a punk.

I suspect, this far removed from the tragedy, that people are beginning to make things up.

Lessee ... put us down for another "AGREED" on 3/22/02.

(Wonder how Mrs. Beamer's busy schedule is coming along these days?)

My belief system tells me that God will provide them with incentives to change their lifestyles if and when He sees fit. In your apparently fear-based religious beliefs that is not good enough for you. Are you afraid that God will smite thee if you don't serve Him as an anti-homosexual crusader?

Sad to say Muslims do not have a monopoly on fundamentalist imperialism, terroristic tendencies, an inability to live civilly with those they disagree with, or the complete lack of respect for human dignity.

You have never ever heard me call for violence against gays or Abortionists or any other group. I do not advocate violence for anything except self defense or defense of another in a life threatening situation. I did not see any advocacy of violence on the CG website but I'll take your word for it. I didn't read every page. I also believe that the news item I posted the other day was accurate and true. Seems a pity to reject everything someone says because you disagree with 1. That 1 thing you did not agree with does not make all things they ever say invalid but, taking that attitude will of course deprive you and others of valuable knowledge. You must take the good and reject the bad. Says so in the Bible.

I don't respect Dick Cheney's daughter. Her dad yes but not her. I don't have respect for Bingham outside of his heroic acts.

I care that he and a couple of others did the right thing when it counted the most.

So do I. But Bingham was still gay. I hope he repented of his homosexuality before joining the rebellion on Flight 93, but to be honest, I don't believe he did. Without asking you or myself to judge, just to speculate, texlok and GSWarrior (and anyone), in your hearts of hearts, do you believe that Mark Bingham, hero at the last, is in heaven? I honestly doubt that he is.

Whether one finds his sexual preference abhorent is a completely different subject.

You obviously don't.

If he isn't, I believe it comes as a result of actions unrelated to his sexual proclivities.

We really should wake up and smell the reality that America on many fronts has become a nation of wusses.

I agree with you, we have become even weaker because of 9/11

We have people saying we need cameras everywhere watching everybody, wanting the police to stop and check everybody and asking for ID, people wanting the National Guard "protecting" the highways (thankyuverymuch ms. feinstein).
