Agreed. If this is really what happened and the aide did/should have known that the ammo was going to be used for a crime, he's not a 2A advocate at all.
Sometimes I have to scratch my head on these things. My 18 year son can go to Walmart and buy .22lr for a rifle, but not a handgun, .45 ACP or 9mm for a carbine, but not a handgun, and all the .308 win he wants. The idea of traveling across state lines to buy ammo seems like something that could happen only in another country.
