I read them. I'm assuming the best and believe that you don't have an interest in the picture other than it's news value, but there are many who really do get their jollies from pictures like this. Posting it on such a well-trafficked site just makes it that much easier for them to find it and add it to their gruesome websites and secret e-mail lists.
I would argue that just because something is reality doesn't mean that we need to have the ability to gawk at it. For example, it's reality how JonBenet Ramsey's parents globbed makeup on her and made her sing and dance like a 21-year old hooker. However, that doesn't mean that it's good to look at the photos and videos of her. We lose something of our souls by taking in those things.
You know that in America we have films that depict much worse than what is shown in the photograph and it doesn't bother us because we know that it's Hollywood pretending. We are desensitized to horror at our own peril. Now we have an actual case of pure evil in a color photograph and we condemn its viewing by the masses?
Shall we forbid all such photographs?
Then why did you "choose" to click on the posting that was listed as "Very Graphic".
Your comment reminds me of those people who complain about violence on television and in the media in general, but "choose" to partake.
The terrorist atrocities of 9/11 happened in my backyard, here in the Northeast. I guess that you still feel nice and comfy in Texas and don't want to think or see what evil is occuring, just maybe it will all go away.
