Wellstone talking about getting the soft money out of politics. Says it will be wonderful if the parties have to get back to grassroots politics and take in smaller contributions.

Paul Wellstone is for raping the Constitution. That all you need to know. The rest is blather.
To: goldstategop
He "regrets" that it was such a tough fight. He's so glad they didn't have to go to conference committee.

Well, Wellstone ought to know since the Dems rely so much on the huge contributions from their Hollywood pals. I think the average contribution to the GOP is less than $50. This is all such a farce.

I wish the proponents would simply save their f**king breath and just vote to send the damned measure to President Bush. They know as well as every one else the courts will strike it down. What a bunch of phonies.
To: Wphile
Oh goody. Chris Dodd of Connecticut is adding his two cents now. Praising Wellstone (GAG!) Mentions that the Senate Chamber is practically empty.

I would like to know WHERE ALL THE REPUBLICAN SENATORS ARE? Listening to it in their offices? Is Nott-A-Lott there?

Dodd speaking now...realize your reluctance with the libs, but I think in the end CFR will be a boon for We the People! (It will also be a special interest nixing thorn in the side of your bufoon hero--Rush Limpbull)

I know - why MORE debate??? Geez...these guys just love to hear themselves pontificate. It's disgusting. Politics at its most absolute worst. No, check that...the Pickering confirmation might take the trophy. No, check that...the Enron hearings might win the day. No, check that...never mind.

McConnell said he wants to be the last to speak and that he wants to have at least an hour (don't think that means all at once). Also wants to reserve some time for Phil Gramm to speak.

Yeah, they know what we want...we screamed for impeachment; yet they knew what we wanted, and voted against it. Sure....please. I don't know if I can listen to them all day, but it's kind of fun watching them make idiots out of themselves.

They will talk as long as possible. BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I think the vote will be taken today.
I think Wellstone belongs on a late night infomercial selling Popeil Pasta Makers or as a Ms. Cleo side kick..."Ms. Cleo says you know you want CFR."

I wish I could be there holding up signs protesting this rape of the Constitution and my first amendment rights - all so that people will not be allowed to inform others of the stands elected officials have taken on issues!!!!
Everytime I think about it, I go crosseyed with seething anger. So, thanks, but no thanks in hearing about the speeches.
Just ping me when it is over so I can fax the White House to plead for a veto.
What good is having Republicans in office when they vote like Dems? these 12 traitors are nothing but that - TRAITORS! And, again, I REFUSE TO SEND ONE PENNY TO SUPPORT THEM. Take that REpubs. Not only will the issues groups who help you be silenced - but some of us who occasionally send in money to help elect Republicans everywhere - WILL BE STOPPING DOING THAT! Not one red cent. I should have stopped it long ago. But I am a stupid sucker.
