(StopDemocrats.com) - Attorney General Jim Ryan is the Republican nominee for Governor of Illinois in the 2002 November elections. With 80% of precincts reporting state Attorney General Jim Ryan (The more Moderate) had 44% to state Sen. Patrick O'Malley's (The more conservative) 28% and Lt. Gov. Corinne Wood's (The more Liberal) 27%. On the Democratic side things changed over night when Rep. Blagojevich took the lead with 35% to Chicago schools chief Paul Vallas's 34% and Former Attorney General Roland W. Burris with 30%, the race is too close to call at this moment. In an interesting twist, when the count hit 59% Lt. Gov. Corinne Wood's numbered soared to double digits over Jim Ryan, suddenly when the count went to 63% the numbers came back to where they are now with Jim Ryan leading by double digits. The latest one-on-one poll has Ryan leading Blagojevich by 3 points and Vallas by 1.

Conservative Jim Durkin has won the primary for the United States Senate against... Dick Durbin.
Think Durbin and Durkin the illiterate folks in the innercity won't know what to do.
Go Jim Durkin (he is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-death penalty)

That is just my assumption from his speech. He could run for... the house or the senate in 2 years or governor in 4 years who knows. O'Malley is still young he has a long career ahead of him.

O'Malley may run as an independent!!! He can't. We have a law in Illinois referred to as the "sore loser" law in election law circles, that prohibits candidates that have lost in a primary to re-file and run under another party label in the same election year, for the same office.

He should have run for the senate........

STOPDEMOCRATS.COM NEWS FLASH: Blagojevich leads by 2 points for Dem nomination with 86% of precints counted, O'Malley widening 2nd place lead over Wood who is in 3rd place by 2 points for second place behind Jim Ryan, the GOP winner.

ummmm. where's everybody at?
To: Dengar01
When I went to vote today, I hadn't rec'd *anything* from candidates for the senate race. So I picked Durkin thinking he might be confused with Durbin. Figured a RINO (if that was what he was) was still better than a Dem.
But I am bummed out about O'Malley.

Everyone is sleeping and or sick of the thought that the sleaze ball Rod Blagojavech (you haven't seen his comericals) has basically won the DEM nomination. Just the thought of over 6 more months of his ads on TV makes me want to move to Iowa or Indiana (not wisconsin though).
