Well, I don't know how many are virgins, but they don't act like sluts. Having sex with someone doesn't make someone a slut in my eyes. BTW, TN girls are hot. I loved going to Knoxville a couple of years ago.

And I agree that a massive relinquishing of social standards would have an impact on society. I just don't think that's happening.

But is is having a very bad impact. We have a 30% out of wedlock birthrate. This is not good for the next generation of humans.

For Catholics, the model woman is Mary, the virgin Mother of God.

Matthew 13:53ff in the Bible indicates Jesus had brothers AND sisters. How is it that Catholicism teaches that Mary had no other children? Just curious.

But I see women in droves in their late 30's and 40's lamenting why they never married, or had kids out of wedlock , etc. Now they wish they had the long-term relationships. But while you can have sex overnight, you can't "obtain" a long-term relationship overnight.

They think that it is manly to take to bed as many women as they can. In their eyes, that is the mark of a man. And, yes, there are many infantile comments such as, can I go back to college, etc. They have never grown up.

I absolutely do see your point, but we are talking about a cultural phenomena here and I am free to debate the effects of it if I see them as being harmful to the society which I inhabit, which I know doubt think you would agree I have a right to do. It's the activity in the public square I am now alarmed about, not the activity in the rooms upstairs at the dockside publik house, if you see my point. A slovenly woman; a slattern.

In my eyes having sex with a boyfriend/girlfriend does not automatically make you a slut. If you disagree...don't have sex with your boyfriend/girlfriend.

Not really, and this has been going on for many years. I was a student at SUNY @ Stony Brook more than 10 years ago, and was the only person in my suite who had a "long distance relationship" with a girl back home. All 5 other guys in my suite participated in regular "hooking up" on thursday nights (the party night at Stony Brook) before heading home to girlfriends on the weekends. One of the guys managed to spread clymidia to 5 different women on campus, as well as his girlfriend! The fact that he managed to spread it around like that can be shown that not only was he something of a "pig," but the women were willing too.
