I think that is the reason the Nuclear Posture Review was "leaked" to the press. It was the administration's way of telling the world exactly what Fred said, and scaring the crap out of certain regimes, who might be having idiot fantasies about getting away with nuking an American city.
Definitely. These bastards have to understand in very clear terms that we aren't f*'g around. If you use weapons of mass destruction against our cities, your country will be turned into a giant glass sculpture.

"Those imbued with it argue that that the Russians plot a nuclear first-strike on the United States."The Russians did plan a nuclear first-strike and they came very close to pushing the button, because they believed the liberal media lies that Reagan was planning a first strike. Not fantasy, reality.

A nuclear event in American does not have to happen. Remember what President Bush said at the SOTU address. "We will not wait on events..." I believe that a pre-emptive strike on countries like Iraq are inevitable. We are not going to wait for an American city to disappear before doing what needs to be done. And what needs to be done is a re-colonization of most of the Middle East by the Western powers. Look for Russia to be a big part of this as well. There are some countries in the world who simply should not be allowed by the civilized world to have nuclear capability.

Actually Cleveland would be the ideal place to cause the most terror since there are 20 million people downwind.

"The Russians did plan a nuclear first-strike..That's when RR put the Pershing II nuke missle in Europe, much to the wails of the Left at home and abroad. This move, essentially, checked the Ruskies.
Even if they shot first, we were closer.

"He's putting the bastards on notice and I bet Cheney is telling them in person !You sir are absolutely correct. There is something major in the air for sure. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see this war on terrorism escalate quickly into a world war. The signs are there. The Bush administration has let the US public as well as the rest of the world, in no uncertain terms BTW, that the ultimate line in the sand has been drawn. We'll just have to watch and pray and see how this all plays out. Especially with the Israeli/PLO wildcard thrown into the mix. IMHO we are right on the edge of a nightmare. Then again, we'll see.

The libs always like to knock Reagan as a thick-headed old man. But the truth of the matter is that he surrounded himself with smart people, outspent and outsmarted the Russkies at every turn. The Berlin Wall would not have collapsed without his forethought: "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

If there is a nuke attack, granted we must strike back. But, while were at it, lets not forget Berkeley Calif... lets get all out enemies while were at it.
Well, hell, if they're that close, why not take out San Jose, Palo Alto, Mountain Valley, ... oh, hell ... just target Silicon Valley ...

YOu might not have to live in a shelter for long. Just a day or so untill the debris settles and the weather moves some of the radioactivity to some other city. Then you get out and try to get to a "clean" city without inhaling any dust.

Where does it stop? You demand the unconditional surrender of every nation not friendly to our cause, and then nuke the ones who so much as even hesitate to comply. Then, to add insult to injury, I'd use the neutron bomb so that we kill the people but leave the buildings standing.

If Iraq had the means to deliver a nuke to the US it would do it. If Islamic groups had the chance, they would do it. If any of them had the chance, they would do it. ANY QUESTIONS?

A critical element of strategy indeed. Now, let's bring on Pershing III. Plus, a whole new series of tactical nukes, and, a new, road mobile ICBM, for good measure. Peace through strength.

I stopped reading after the unnecessary misspelling. I never ever not EVER trust someone who thinks they sound smarter because the find some esoteric misspelling of a word. Its Muslim.
