An ongoing source of frustration and anger for many Americans is the lack of support the war on terrorism has received abroad. Other nations are considerably less enthusiastic about our use of "daisy cutter" and "thermobaric" bombs than we think they should be. Why is that?
One reason is their media. Stories alleging imperial and commercial motives for the war on terrorism are rife.
Outside this country, there is a widespread belief that U.S. military deployments in Central Asia mostly are about oil.

This parallel of strategic interests and opportunities will always be listed amongst our possible hidden motives behind every action. It is impossible to avoid this analysis by those outside the US.
But, if world events play into the hands of US economic interests, why should we be concerned. If the suspision, becomes the reality, through to effort on our part, should we fail to advance our interests?
Since most of Iran's oil goes to Europe, maybe the Europeans are behind Osama. After all, we have Texas, Alaska, and are friends with Putin who has loads of oil in Siberia.
Do you actually have a point? Or are you going to give us the old reliable "If you don't get it, I can't explain it to you" nonsense?
